Frequently asked questions

Spark is designed to be the perfect desktop collaborative companion. Automate the most strenuous, tedious, and delicate tasks in your workflow with industry-leading repeatability.

Thor is designed, assembled and shipped by Standard Bots from Glen Cove, New York.

Our intuitive, no-code app is the easiest software solution in robotics. Standard Bots offers training options ranging from simple how-to videos and remote onboarding, to on-site jumpstarts that level-up frontline workers, to advanced programming and integration courses hosted in our facilities.

Even accounting for reasonable TCP offset, Thor can carry 30 kgs at collaborative speeds across its entire work envelope.

Yes. Installation and integration support are available through Standard Bots and certified partners.

Support can scale from remote assistance to on-site deployment.

Yes. Thor can run locally without an active internet connection once programs are deployed. Network connectivity is only required for software updates, remote support, or connected applications.

Beta features may not be available offline, otherwise all software is available offline or online.

‍

Yes. Thor is designed for fast reconfiguration between tasks. Programs can be saved, reused, and adapted across applications. This makes Thor well suited for flexible automation and changing workflows.

Thor uses an M8 8-pin tool connector and is compatible with leading electric and mechanical grippers, including two-finger, three-finger, and suction grippers.

Power and I/O are provided directly through the tool flange for simplified integration.

Most Standard Bots operators have little to no programming experience or education. Standard Bots OS is the easiest software available for industrial automation. And Standard Bots AI makes writing programs as easy as talking about the work with a colleague: simply describe a task in plain language, and our AI agent writes a best-practice program for you, allowing you to tweak and troubleshoot along the way through chat. Learn more about how Standard Bots AI automates tasks faster and easier — including complex, dexterous, and variable tasks that legacy robots could never automate: https://standardbots.com/ai
