Make American robots. Put them to work in American factories.
When anyone can buy and use a robot, more people will make more things, and the future will be beautiful and abundant. We're building this future in Glen Cove, NY, and on hundreds of factory floors, and counting.

Frequently asked questions
Spark is designed to be the perfect desktop collaborative companion. Automate the most strenuous, tedious, and delicate tasks in your workflow with industry-leading repeatability.
Manufacturers building repeat assemblies by hand: electronics, appliances, automotive components, medical devices, electrical enclosures and consumer products. Common tasks include part insertion, screwdriving and nut running, from micro-scale components to large subassemblies.
Spark (7 kg, 950 mm) fits benchtop assembly of small, delicate parts. Core (18 kg, 1.3 m) suits most station-based assembly with heavier tools or subassemblies. Thor (30 kg, 2 m) handles large or heavy components. Choose based on the heaviest part plus the tool, and the farthest point the robot must reach.
Often, yes, but the answer comes from a risk assessment of the whole application, not the robot alone. The 2025 editions of ISO 10218-1 and -2 now include the collaborative requirements that used to sit in ISO/TS 15066, including power and force limiting and speed and separation monitoring. Sharp parts, pinch points and the tool on the end of the arm all affect what's appropriate. Our team can offer some pointers as you assess your cell before it runs alongside people.
Standard Bots systems include force and torque sensing, so the robot can feel contact during an insertion and adjust instead of forcing a misaligned part. That matters for press fits, connectors, pins and snap fits, where vision alone can't confirm the part is seated.
Yes. You save a routine for each product and switch between them from the iPad, so a high-mix line doesn't need a dedicated robot per SKU. Standard Bots AI makes those new changes as easy as describing the new parts to a coworker — our AI agent writes the rest of the program from there.
The right robot for every task
Core fits most tending cells. Step up to Thor for heavy parts, or down to Spark for benchtop machines.
